About the School: Antonio de Nebrija University is a private
and independent university, officially recognized by the Spanish
government, with a variety of international programs. Antonio de
Nebrija has two campuses; one in the city (Campus de la Dehesa de
la Villa), and the other on the outskirts of Madrid (Campus de la
Berzosa). The courses in Spanish are given mainly in the Campus
de la Dehesa de la Villa, located about 15 min. from the center
of Madrid in the university area of the city with easy access by
public transportation (metro and bus).

The university is named after Antonio de Nebrija, a great
humanist and the first grammarian of the Spanish language. In
consequence, the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language and
the formation of teachers of Spanish are key activities of the
University. It has a center which has been dedicated exclusively
to Spanish language training since 1985: the Centro de Estudios
Hispanicos Antonio de Nebrija. |
Universidad Antonio de Nebrija offers an international environment
within a Spanish university where both Spanish and foreign students
are sharing the same facilities. The facilities at Antonio de Nebrija
are of a high standard compared to some public universities in Spain
and include libraries, sport grounds, green areas, computer facilities
and cafeterias. All international students will receive a students
card which gives access to all activities and general services and
all extra-curricular activities as well.

Spanish Courses at Antonio Nebrija University: Antonio Nebrija
offers a wide range of Spanish courses throughout the year and is
only closed during the month of August.
The Spanish course arranged are intended for those who would like
to learn or improve their Spanish in an international university
environment but with a high standard throughout all programs. There
are 6 different levels from complete beginners to the most advanced
level and the teaching method is based on an interactive, communicative,
and personalized learning approach.
Each program includes six cultural activities (visits to museums
and other sites of interest). The programs also offer extra-curricular
activities (excursions, movies, theater, flamenco, concerts, football,
tapas, paella, etc) that are not included in the program fees, but
have very affordable prices.
