Free Time Activities

Each of our schools offer a variety of extracurricular activities for your enjoyment. A welcoming dinner party, numerous cultural visits, video nights, excursions, and plenty of parties are a few of the events you can look forward to. Above all, expect to dance a lot and eat very well. Although the activities are optional some of them are already included in our school fees, so we highly encourage you to take advantage of them. We truly feel it's important for you to not only receive an excellent education, but also to experience the social and cultural richness of Spain in its fullest. We believe this is one of the main reasons why so many of our students express a high level of satisfaction after having studied at our language schools.

Our extracurricular activities will be especially useful as way of introducing you to the local social scene. You'll come into close contact with Spain's culture and history. We're convinced that, given this context, learning Spanish will be an easier, more enjoyable and much more effective process for you. You'll find some images taken during some of our free time activities in the Photo Tour.

Alicante:

You'll attend classes in Spanish culture and take full day excursions to Tabarca Island and Valencia. We'll provide guided tours to museums and monuments, such as the Gavina Palace or the Archaeology Museum established in 1932.

Barcelona:

Staff memebers at our Barcelona school will be delighted to show you around this wonderful city of artistry and cultural diversity. Expect outings to the Miró Foundation (which is a gift from the artist to his native city), the Gaudí Casa-Museu and the famous Picasso Museum. There will be a tour of Gran Via (where the school is located) and the famous Ramblas.

Granada:

Excursions to the Alhambra - one of the world's most exquisite architectural achievements - and to the series of palaces and gardens built under the Nazari Dynasty are the highlights of the outings provided at our school in Granada. There will also be museum visits and we'll make sure you enjoy the city's unique bars, where free bocadillos (Spanish sandwiches) are served along with the order of any drink.

Madrid:

El Prado, the Museum Thyssen-Bornemisza, the National Centre of Art from Reina Sofia and the Palacio Real are all part of the organized excursions provided in Madrid. You'll be taken to the Retiro Park and invited to participate in exciting nightlife events. Full-day excursions to Toledo, Segovia and other surrounding towns will also be arranged.

Malaga:

If you choose to study in Malaga you'll experience flamenco, tapas, Salsa, and the wonderful beaches of the Costa del Sol firsthand. There'll be visits to the Museo Picasso and the Alcazaba fortress, a testament to Spain's Moorish era. You'll also enjoy exploring the innumerable bars and clubs found throughout the narrow winding streets of Malaga's historic center.

Salamanca:

Our staff members in Salamanca will take you out to meet both Spanish and foreign students in this wonderful university city with a young and dynamic atmosphere. You'll have a chance to visit the Museo de Salamanca, the Museum of History of the City and the Museo de Art Nouveau y Art Decó. As in any of our programs, you can expect cultural activities, night outings and plenty of chances to taste the delicious Spanish cuisine.

Sevilla:

In Sevilla, there'll be visits to the city's breathtaking cathedral and to the Fine Art Museum and the Regional Archaeological Museum. Since Sevilla is the capital of Flamenco, you'll have a unique opportunity to intimately experience the essence of this passionate art at tablaos (flamenco bars).

Valencia:

Here you'll taste the best paella available in the world, Valencia being the birthplace of this celebrated Spanish dish. Having eaten to your heart's content, we'll visit the Museum of Fine Arts (Museo de Bellas Artes) where you can find works from the Valencian School artists as well as Van Dyck, Murillo, El Greco and Goya. We'll also make sure you don't miss out on the city's impressive cathedral and its many unique cultural and artistic offerings.
