Registration - How to Pay - Terms & Conditions - Registration Form

Registration Process

Step 1 - Registration
To insure your place in one of our programs you have to submit a registration form (as early as possible as programs and especially accommodation can be overbooked during certain times of the year). To register you can choose between registering online or filling out a PDF/text version (see registration form below) and e-mail it, mail it or fax it directly to UniSpain.

Step 2 - Deposit
Within 24 hours of receiving your registration you will receive a response from UniSpain confirming that we are processing your request. In this confirmation we will also send you information about how to pay the initial deposit of 200Eur. (Remember! this is a deposit and NOT A REGISTRATION FEE and will be DEDUCTED from your total amount. The deposit is used to pay the school and accommodation deposits).
If the total amount of the booking is less than 500Eur the full amount is due to be paid upon registration.
For long-term programs in Granada and Malaga Universities a greater deposit is required please see terms and conditions for each school below.

Step 3 - Confirmation
1-4 weeks after having received your deposit you will receive the confirmation letter from the school either by email or regular mail including tips on what to bring and remember before your departure. If you need a visa for your studies in Spain we will send you the obligatory school confirmation letter and accommodation confirmation letter to your home address.

Step 4 - Outstanding Payment
The total cost of the program is due to be paid 4 weeks before your starting date and after having received the confirmation letter from the school or university. For late bookings made within 4 weeks of the arrival date the total amount is due after the registration.

How to Pay

The initial deposit can be paid by credit card or by bank transfer. If you wish to pay by credit card you have to fill out the online registration form (see below). Thereafter you will receive an email with details about how to pay via PayPals secure online payment site.

To pay the outstanding amount you can choose between a bank or personal cheque and a bank transfer (for security reasons it is unfortunately not possible to pay the outstanding amount by credit card).

Terms & Conditions

Refunds and Changes
:
At UniSpain we have two distinct refund and change policies: One for the services offered directly by Unispain (accommodation and airport pick-up), and the other for the school fees, which depends on the policy of the different schools.

All fees and payments regarding to Accommodation and Airport pickup are subject to the refund and change policy below.

UniSpain will Refund:

  • 100% of payments received for accommodation and airport pick-up (excluding the 200Eur deposit) when canceling more than 4 weeks before arrival date.
  • 50% of payments received for accommodation and airport pick-up when canceling 2-4 weeks before arrival date.
  • 25% of payments received for accommodation and airport pick-up when canceling less than 2 weeks before the arrival date.
  • 0% of payments received for accommodation and airport pick-up when canceling after the scheduled arrival date.

All Accommodation changes (i.e. type of accommodation, where and when) are free of charge when communicated to UniSpain up to 4 weeks before the arrival date. When communicated later all changes are subject to a 50Eur fee.

For specific Terms and Conditions for each school regarding refunds of school fees, changes of starting date etc. Click Here.

Course and Accommodation Bookings:
The courses and accommodation provided by UniSpain can be booked independently or together as the client prefers. It is therefore possible to book a course with Or without accommodation and it is also possible to book only accommodation through UniSpain.

Course Fees:
In UniSpain we offer courses from both private schools and public universities and in most programs we are able to offer our clients a special discount (compared to the official price) as we share part of the commission we earn on signing up a student with our clients.
The course fees available on this website (including our special discounts) are set based on the official price provided by the individual schools. If the course fees are changed by the individual school we therefore reserve the right to adjust the course fee advertised on our website.

Registration Fee:
When booking your course or accommodation through UniSpain you do NOT pay any registration fee. We are paid a commission directly by the schools and universities when we sign up a student and we do in fact share part of this commission with our clients, which is the reason why we are able to offer prices below the official prices.
The only two programs where we reserves the right to charge a registration fee of 80Eur for handling all the paper work for students who only book the course without accommodation is for courses at Complutense University in Madrid and Granada University.

Accommodation Deposit:
With most of the accommodation offered by UniSpain it is required that the student pays a deposit (maximum one months rent), which will be reimbursed upon departure if no damage to the accommodation has been made. This deposit is a normal requirement in Spain and is paid directly to the landlord. The deposit is a matter between the landlord and the tenant and the only part UniSpain takes in this issue is providing information on the amount of deposit required to be paid.
You will be notified by UniSpain before your arrival on the exact amount of the deposit and how to pay (normally it is paid upon arrival when receiving the keys).

Accommodation Visits:
If you are planning on having friends or family staying in your room/flat you will need the permission of either UniSpain or the landlord. Short-term visits are in general allowed although to avoid any conflict with the landlord we will need notification if you are bringing people who are staying 3 nights or having more than one guest at a time.

Leaving Accommodation:
All rooms and flats rented through UniSpain are to be left in the same condition as upon arrival at the accommodation. The landlord will keep the right to charge the cleaning and damage repairs of the accommodation directly to the student if this is not followed.
The accommodation has to be left on the exact date as confirmed during your registration with UniSpain. If this is not followed and you have not reached a special agreement with UniSpain. we reserve the right to keep a part of your deposit.

Late Fee:
All registrations received within 4 weeks of the starting date are subject to a late fee of 50Eur due to the increased cost of finding accommodation on short notice. In some schools you also have to pay a late fee (see specific Terms & Conditions for each school)

Arrival & Departure:
When booking with UniSpain you can decide when to arrive and leave. This means you have the possibility to arrive earlier or stay longer (than your dates of study) and this way, you can combine vacation with studying. During some periods of the year it might not be possible to arrive early or stay longer but in this case you will receive a notification directly from UniSpain after we have received your registration.

Airport Pick-Up:
Our airport pick-up service includes airport pick-up to your accommodation only upon your arrival and NOT transportation back to the airport upon departure.

Holidays:
Classes cancelled by local holidays will normally not be made up by additional classes.

Text Books:
Text books are included in some, but NOT, all programs (see details in Program Overview)

Additional Activities:
Some schools arrange additional activities (i.e. visits to museums, excursions) which are not included in the course fee.

Disclaimer of Liability:
UniSpain is working as an independent agent and cannot be held liable for any damage occurred to you during your stay and your travel to and from Spain.
