The summer youth Spanish courses are arranged by many of the private
language schools that offer normal Spanish courses during the rest
of the year. A typical course offers around 15-20 Spanish classes
per week and a number of afternoon and weekend activities. The summer
camps are arranged so the students have a great time both during
classes and after with a number of organised free-time activities,
from cultural activities such as guided visits to museums to sports
activities and weekend excursions.
The average class has around 10 students and the teachers
are experienced in teaching Spanish to youngsters. The classes are
done in a very interactive and communicative way to make it more
fun for the students while they are learning. Youngsters has in
general a more open mind to learning new languages by practising
and playing and the classes has been adopted to this spirit.
In some summer camps there are also Spanish students studying foreign
languages, which even makes it easier for the both parts to learn
and practise during the afternoon and weekend activities.
In many schools it is also possible for the parents to take a normal
Spanish course at the same school where their children are studying.
Students normally live with Spanish host families with 1-3 students
in each home or in a student residence at the camp. The Spanish
families are furthermore a good way for the students to learn more
about the Spanish culture as well as practise their Spanish during
the evenings.

The teenage summer camps can be recommended to all students who
are interested in learning Spanish and at the same time experience
a great vacation in a foreign country. As the courses are arranged
to make it as fun as possible to study Spanish, the youngsters will
not feel like they are on a study camp but rather that they are
experiencing a great adventure. It is furthermore a good and effective
way to make sure that the youngster learns another language, which
can be very useful later on in their school and future career.
At all schools the students are always monitored and this makes
it a safe way for parents to send their children to learn or improve
their Spanish. From the first day the youngster will be picked up
at the airport and showed the way to the school from the host family's
home who all live near the camp. During the afternoon and weekend
activities there are monitors looking after the children and during
the evenings they will be looked after by the host families or by
monitors if they are living in a residence.
